COMPARATIVE AND SUPERLATIVE
-We use comparative adjetives to compare things.
-We use superlative adjetives to express extremes.
SPELLING:
Adjective: one syllable ending in -e. (nice)
Superlative: the + adjective + -St (the nicest)
Comparative: adjective+-r (nicer)
A: One syllable ending in consonant + vowel + consonant (big)
C: adj. (with final consonant doubled) + -er (bigger).
S: the adjective (with final consonant doubled) + -est (the biggest)
A: two syllables ending in-y (funny)
C: adj (without -y) + -ier (funnier)
S: the + adj. (without -y) + -iest (the funniest)
A: other adj. with one or two syllables (clever)
C: adj. + -er (cleverer)
S: the + adj. + -est (cleverest)
A: three or more syllables (expensive)
C: more + adj: (more expensive)
S: the most + adj: (the most expensive)
USE
Comparative + than compares people, places and things.
eg. Tallinn is colder than Toledo.
The + superlative expresses the highest degree of something.
eg. I think pizza is the best in the world.
IRREGULAR FORMS:

(NOT) AS... AS, LESS AND LEAST
