Formative
Definition: Gather feedback that can be used by the instructor and the students to guide improvements in the ongoing teaching and learning context.
Kahoot game: Students will complete a quick 5 question kahoot in reference to the content they are working on.
One Pager: Have students complete a one pager, where they draw 2-3 things pertaining what they have learned.
Diagnostic
Definition: Diagnostic assessments are used as forms of pre-assessments to determine a student's strengths and weaknesses as well as prior misconceptions. This information can help teachers to plan their instruction to meet student needs.
Sight Word Tests: Students will complete their sight word test to determine level and where intervention needs to be done. .
Phonological Awareness survey: The teacher will give the survey to help determine where the student is.
Performance
Definition: A performance assessment is an assessment that requires students to perform a task rather than regular tests or answering questions.

Student Examples: A few students will come up and answer the problem on the board, showing and telling their thinking.

Interim/ Benchmark
Definition: Interim/ Benchmark assessments are used to see where students are in their learning and determine if they are on track with their learning to do well on future assessments

iStation: Students will be asked to take their iStation test, to see if they are growing in reading comprehension.
Summative
Definition: Summative assessments are used to evaluate student learning at the end of a unit. These are usually high stakes, so they have a high-grade value.
CFA: Students will take a content related quiz for what they have been learning the past two weeks to see where intervention will be needed.
Prodigy: Students will take their prodigy test to see their growth and if they can be moved up a few lessons.
