Performance
Definition: This Is an assessment where students will perform a task rather than standardized testing.
Identifying: Students will Identify the objective. I.E., students are able to Identify and label the adjectives and adverbs.
Socratic Seminar: Students are able to speak fluently in a conversation about the specific information about the content.
Formative
Definition: The process of gathering evidence of student learning. This Is a continuing circular process that gathers feedback and allows for adjusting Instruction.
Google Form: Exit Ticket. Students will answer and respond to a series of questions after learning content to check their comprehension.
Monitoring student learning. We can do this by asking questions throughout the lesson that ensure student participation and comprehension is going accordingly.
Interim/Benchmark
Definition: This exists to see where a student lies In their progress throughout the school year at certain checkpoints to make sure that students are on the right track for success.
STAAR: (State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness). This Is a state mandated standardized test that checks students comprehension of content In their grade level.
Summative
Definition: Form of testing that ends a large section of content and reviews what you want students to learn.
EOC Exams: Tests the content that Is taught throughout the year or an entire unit to see where the students comprehension and understanding lie.
Essay: This allows the teacher to see where a student may lie In their abilities to write about the content learned throughout a course.
