most ppts correctly identified that there was no broken glass. 32% reported seeing broken glass in the smashed condition comparted to the 14% in the hit condition and 12% in the control group.

Conclusion
second experiment findings suggest that the post-event information did not simply create a response bias. it actually altered the persons memory of the event and generated expectations, such as likelihood that there would be broken glass
