Coloured fabrics will go lighter shades
All fabric is composed of fibers, and these fibers are either "hydrophilic (absorbent) or hydrophobic (not absorbent). Manufactured cellulose such as rayon, acetate, modal, and lyocell are also absorbent. Synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon, and acrylic) are not absorbent." There are also degrees of absorbency; therefore, some fabrics will be more absorbent than others. (

Duration of when bleach is applied
Fabrics tend to break down after 10 mins. Therefore each trial should not last for longer than 10 minutes
Type of bleach
Oxygen Bleach
Oxygen bleach is safe for use on many fabrics and is sometimes referred to as color-safe bleach or all-fabric bleach. Unlike chlorine bleach, this bleach does not remove color or patterns on most types of colorfast clothing. (

Chlorine bleach
Chlorine bleach usually comes in a liquid form, but it can occasionally be found in a powdered form. Chlorine bleach contains sodium hypochlorite diluted with water. This type of bleach is very powerful. It disinfects laundry, but it isn't safe for many fabric types, particularly colored clothing or clothing with patterns.
Ratio of Water to Bleach
Add 1/4 cup of bleach to 1 gallon of water and soak the clothes for only 5 to 10 minutes; any more, and you'll start to break down the fabric. (

How to define the point in which the stain is removed?
Scaling system: 5 = highly effective (stain gone), 4 = slightly visible, 3 = faded, 2 = no change, 1 = worse
