Peninsular spain
The nobility
They couldnt work perform manual work as it was considered deshonourable
THey lived of the incomes of their lands
The elder son was the one who inherited the title and the lands
The younger usually turned into a knight or entered in the church

Normal peasants
The bast mayority of spain were peasants who lived in countryside
Most of them were poor and didnt owned any land
They rented land or worked for a wage on big farms
Bourgeosie
When the bourgesie managed to save money, they normally invested it in lands rather than in business
They could live off the income from their land, and stop working like a noble
The could by a noble title in order to improve their socla status and pay fewer taxes
The catholic church
The rent and the thithes that the church recived made the church very rich and powerfull
The church wasnt alowed to sell the land they owned
Many people left their lands to the church when they died
The indies
The social classes were based on your race and Where you were born
The criollos
They were descended from spanish colonist so they thought that they deserved the exactly the same rights that people that where bor in spain
They were white poeple born in the indies, many of whom were involved in trade and commerce
The people that born in Spain were always given the most important goverment jobs
Merchants from seville had a monopoly of trade between spain and the indies
Criollos protested against spanish rules on various occasions (thay also caused minor rebelions
in the 19th century they played a very important role in the Wars of independence in the Americas
