- - - - Neyman bias(survival bais): due to conditioning your selection on the survival of the ppl when they reach the hospital - cases/exposed will be over representative
      - diagnostic bias (unmasking bias): an exposure may lead to a search for an outcome and may lead. to an outcome- exposure that is associated with increase of diagnosis among cases0- conditioning on diagnosis that when selection bias entered the study. note: not in cross-section
      - admission bias: cases are over sampled creating spurious association between exposure & outcome
    - - non-response:the exposure is associated w increase/decrease response in controls compared tp cases
      - Berkson's bias: when sample is taken from a subpopulation and not the general population
- - - - ascertainment, interviewer, participant bias: exposure & disease already occurred -> differential selection interviewing of compared group possible
      - recall bias: people remember exposure differently
    - - ascertainment, interviewer, participant bias: knowing exposure may influence how outcome determined
