If present in maxilla: it usually extends into the maxillary sinus and surrounding bones and is called craniofacial fibrous displasia.

Paget Disease
Clinical Features: Abnormal bone metabolism including: resorption, osteoblastic repair,remineralization of the involved bone. Spacing between the teeth increases, when edentulous, dentures no longer fit.

Microscopically, Mosaic bone: reversal lines in bone w/ osteoblast and osteoclasts lining the trabeculae. Well- vascularized fibrous tissue.
Radiographically: Patchy radiolucency + radiopacity “cotton wool” appearance only lates stages of paget.
Hypercementosis,loss of lamina dura, obliteration of periodontal ligament can also occur.
