Diversity
The world of music in the modern day is extremely diverse, both ethnically and just in sense of genre and style.
How can we possibly find a way to converge such an eclectic mixing pot of values, beliefs, and backgrounds?
The #1 one thing we can do as teachers is acknowledge students of different cultures and show them a relevant level of respect. This can be achieved in what it is taught in schools as well.
EX: Have lessons branch out to other cultures and styles or feature of piece of music from a non-western/European origin in a concert.

The Hopeful Future
A healthy blend between the current focus on in-person performance and the other forms of music (ie. composition, theory, tech, appreciation, etc.)
A space that enriches all budding musicians regardless of background, interest, or talent
Copyright
Unless the concert at the end of the semester requires payment for entry, all bets on copyright should be off the table.
There is so much potential in untapped resources out there, and it's something students deserve given the current environment of music in the modern day
