2) Why Organ.Dev. is important
Increasing changes in organization is due to:

:check: Technologies, to ease the communication between the employees and customers around the world.
:check: New skills needed in order to compete with other organ.
:check: Workforce dynamics, in terms of workforce generations and diversity. e.g: need more young workers
:check: Changing forms of works such as flexible work arrangements, part-time
Organization
need to make changes in order to be more effective, successful, productive, competitive, and satisfying the employees with the new arrangements.
The changes can be done through mergers and acquisitions.
Team members
need to adapt to a different cultures, working across global, and changes in using communication technologies. For example, working virtually.
Individuals
should learn new skills as their job scope might change or eliminate. They need to be quickly adapt to new changes and be flexible.
1) What is Organization Development?
:pencil2: Organization Development is an approach that organizations used to manage changes effectively.
:pencil2: Organization Development is an effort that is planned, it is done organization-wide, managed from the top, to increase the organizational effectiveness, through interventions or action using behavioral science knowledge.
3) Who is involved in interventions?
Interventions are an action taken to change the organization. Those involved are:

:star: Multiple teams
:star: The whole organization
4) What Organization Development is not

Management Consulting
. OD is different from mgt consulting in terms of finance, marketing, corporate strategy, or supply chain management.

Training and Development
. OD is not a training activities. OD objective is not all about learning, such learning new skill and system or procedure. OD is may or may not involve the members in needing to learn new skills or systems.

Short-term
. OD is for a long-term change. The change need to be a permanent and applicable for a long-term period.

Toolkits or the latest fad
. OD is more than the application of instrumented training or standard models. OD engagement has its own unique applications.
