Pragmatism
Bleach is not suitable for oral consumption.
Why is it a pragmatic truth?
Because this truth pragmatically affects how you should act around bleach in the real world. It's extremely pragmatically useful, because if you did orally consume bleach you would most likely not survive.
Influences on belief and ideology.
This truth may lead to ideological disagreements with certain people due to some rather odd circumstances. in 2020 sitting US president Donald Trump said that bleach may be a way to cure oneself of COVID-19. this ended up with dozens of people going to the ER with bleach poisoning. So if you do know that bleach is in fact dangerous to drink, you may be ideologically opposed to some of Donald Trump's supporters in certain regards.
What type of knowledge does this feed into?
Knowledge-that
Why?
It feeds into the knowledge that bleach should not be drank. this is knowledge because it is propositional knowledge, as it acknowledges the proposition and declares the truth that bleach is not safe to consume orally.
There are more people in America than in Canada.
Why is it a pragmatic truth?
This is because the truth pragmatically affects how one may calculate GDP per capita when comparing the two countries, or how one may divvy up humanitarian aid.
Influences on belief and ideology.
This truth could lead to beliefs concerning population growth. One could observe this piece of knowledge and combine it with other knowledge about the history, geography, economy etc. of the USA and Canada to determine why this is. Then, you could take that and form a belief on how to maximize a country's population.
What type of knowledge does this feed into?
Knowledge-that or knowledge-wh
Why knolwedge-that?
Because it forms the knowledge that there are more people in America than in Canada. as well, it is propositional knowledge due to it declaring the truth of the proposition that America has a larger population than Canada.
Why knowledge-wh?
It forms the knowledge that there are more people in America than in Canada. So therefore it answers the question "what country has more people, Canada or America" which is a 'what question'. Thus making it knowledge-wh.
