In order to create a “just society'' that involves equality to everyone, treaties must be abolished. Treaties lead to unfairness as some parties may have perks and benefits that other parties do not have. For example, “The Numbered Treaties” in which Indigenous Peoples gave land and in exchange, the treaties provided for such things as reserve lands, farm equipment and animals, annual payments, ammunition, clothing and certain rights to hunt and fish; these are advantages that other Canadian citizens did not have, but on the contrary, those citizens did not have to give up land. The goal of terminating treaties is to place all citizens on an equal platform that does not allow any certain advantages and disadvantages.
