Identifying stakeholders by for example company's organizational charts as an initial source, BA should know stakeholders outside organization, as well regulatory and governing bodies
Stakeholder attitude can positively or negatively impact change; attitudes to analyze include business goals, objectives, proposed solutions, BA in general, level of interestin change, sponsor, team members, collaboration and team-based approach
BA should identify authority level of stakeholders over BA activities, deliverabes and changes to BA work - eliminates confusion and ensures right colaboration
Understand nature of influence and influence structures for building relationship and trust to develop new strategies; evaluate how much influence is needed to implement a change compared to amount of influence key stakeholders can bring - if there is mismatch BA develop risk plans, responses or other strategies
BA may plan different collaboration approaches for internal and external stakeholders by including timing and frequency of collaboration, location, available tools, delivery method and preferences of stakeholders - documented in the form of stakeholder collaboration plan
BA evaluates what needs to be communicated, what is proper delivery method, who appropriate audience is, when communication should occur, frequency of it, geographic location of stakeholders, level of detail, level of formality
