No consistent terminology, and increasing numbers of citations

Encourage research and publication in other countries, in particular the asia pacific
Most papers have used either quantitative or mixed methodology
Our experience is that this type of research is better suited to qualitative research methodologies
Very few papers were explicit in naming their pedagogy
We suggest that future studies should be more intentional in building on the work in the educational literature
17/23 published in Anglosphere countries possibly demonstrating a language bias towards countries where English is the "lingua Franca"
Perhaps editorial bias? Encourage further research from countries beyond the Anglosphere.

This study incorporated elements of evaluative judgement
Speculate the video facilitated the improvement in self-assessment ability but it may also be practice and/or the comparison to peer assessment
Cerfolio's study points to effects of video assisted coaching on both the coach AND coachee.
Video allowed the coach to reflect and improve coaching technique
As a result, coachees improved over time, patient outcomes either stayed the same or improved, and surgical complication rates decreased. This points to patient benefits
Dohm's - a number of positive traits developed in those who experienced video coaching. More reflective and self-aware, new communication strategies, more patient-centred, more cognisant of non-verbal communication, greater learner emotional self-regulation
Demonstrates the benefit of qualitative research techniques in education

Jain - coaches and coachees thought it was good
possibly in the setting where no direct observation and feedback normally occurs. Therefore video can facilitate a learning conversation happening when none would normally happen
