modular construction
Modular construction is a form of off-site construction in which a building’s components, or modules, are constructed in a factory setting before being transported to site for assembly.

-
all modules for construction need transportation this can be time consuming and increase the carbon footprint.

traditional construction
all of the materials and resources
needed for constriction is made
on site. whereas in modular construction it is
pre-made in an factory.
-
cavity walls- walls are formed from two thicknesses of brickwork or blockwork with a space between them this is known as cavity walls . this is a very popular technique used with houses.
-
steel frame- is a building technique with a skeleton frame this is also known as steel fabrication of vertical and horizontal steel columns.
Timber frame- this is a system of panelised structural walls and floors constructed from small section timber studs.

process takes much longer compared to modular construction because all the stuff is made on site not pre made in a factory.
