King Louis XVI Locked the Third Estate Out of the Estates-General Meeting

Once trying every door, the Third Estate relocated to a nearby tennis court where it's members vowed to stay together and create a written constitution for France

On June 23, 1789 King Louis XVI relented and ordered the estates to meet together as a National Assembly and vote by population, on a constitution.

The Third Estate grew sick of the Old Regime and the idea of which the king was appointed by God and so everyone should obey.
