LINEAR GRAPHS
Gradient
change in y/change in x
on a linear graph, y=mx+c
m is the gradient on the line
parallel lines have the same gradient
horizontal lines have a gradient of 0
y=x^2, y=-x^2
Any quadratic can be written in the form y=ax^2+bx+c
The roots of a quadratic are where y=0
The turning point of a graph is the maximum or minimum value for y on the graph
y=x, y=-x
c is the y-interpret where the graph goes through the y axis
x=a, y=c
A vertical line has the equation of the form x=a where a is where it passes through the x axis
A horizontal line has the equation of the form y=c and passes through the y axis at c
