Treatment
The issues caused by one or more damaged heart valves are treated through valve repair or replacement surgery. You may experience the following symptoms if your heart valves become damaged or diseased: Dizziness. Surgery to repair or replace the valve with an artificial valve or a biological valve manufactured from pig, cow, or human heart tissue is performed. Inserting a catheter into a major blood vessel, guiding it to the heart, then inflating and deflating a tiny balloon at the catheter's tip to enlarge a narrow valve is one repair option.
