4) Conclusion
endophytes alone wont solve the problems but can help in an integrative strategy alongside other practices.

Topic
potential uses
using epiphytes as a biological control to reduce use of chemical pesticides. this could be the most potential use as this could reduce the losses of crop that occur well before harvest
-
-
currently the mojority of the research has been done on one or two endophytes and in strict conditions, the challange now is how to apply the knowledge into a usable format as part of Intergrated strategies. want to know how best to effectivly apply to crop plants.
-
with advancement in technology we are starting to like at the molecular pathways behind the endophyte-plant relationship
-
what are endophytes
-
Must use this as the explanation ‘microbes which occur within plant tissue for at least part of their life cycle without causing disease under any known circumstances’.(Le Cocq,K., 2017). #
or in simpler terms, they are microorganisms like bacteria or fungi that interact with plants either positively, negatively or in a neutral way
current understanding
-
-
microbiome is often used in context with the plant-endophtye relationship - define this in a seperate box.
but dont know muc about why and how , like the metabolic actions and mechanisms.
will need to define a metabolism ie the processinside organisms where energy is used to make things from resourse taken up?
