Organisms
Cells, tissues, organs
Tissues and cells are not the same thing, cells are individual, while tissues are made up of many cells. Tissues are also part of organs.
A cell has three different parts. The membrane, cytoplasm, and nucleus.
Tissues works together, and there are different types of tissues in our body. Epithelial, connective, muscular, and nervous tissues.
Different tissues have different characteristics. For example, muscle tissues look almost stretched apart with lines.
Systems of the body
There are 11 main systems of the body. Respiratory system, circulatory system, lymphatic system, reproductive system, urinary system, muscular system, skeletal system, integumentary system, digestive system, nervous system, endocrine system.
All systems are in charge of different organs, for example, the digestive system is in charge of the mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestines, large intestines, rectum and anus.
All the systems are very important in our body, and play a huge role in how our body functions. The systems of our body works smoothly together.
Sensory receptors and brain processing
There are many sensory receptors for different things. Chemoreceptors, thermoreceptors, photoreceptors, and mechanoreceptors.
Chemoreceptors controls things like taste and smell.
These senses then gets transported to the brain, and the brain first processes the signals then sends an impulse to whichever muscle is triggered.
Mechanoreceptors controls sight, sound and touch,
Electromagnetic controls light.
Thermoreceptors control heat.
