Jesus
John the Baptist
Appears in the desert and baptizes Jesus at the Jordan River. John recognizes that something bigger than himself is coming and then the voice from the heavens proclaims Jesus his son. John knows that Jesus is the coming Messiah.
Simon & Andrew
These brothers are fishermen in the Sea of Galilee who bear witness to some of Jesus' miracles. Simon's mother in law was healed as were various afflictions in the town. They go on to become his disciples, Simon even being renamed Peter. They too recognize Jesus as the Messiah.

Levi son of Alphaeus
Jesus called to Levi in Capernaum. He sat and ate with tax collectors and sinners and Levi happily obliged as he was also a tax collector. I think he understood who Jesus was and what he was trying to do with this meal and interaction.
Pharisees
The Pharisees at first questioned why Jesus chose to eat with tax collectors and sinners. Then they questioned the way which he fasted on Sabbath and Jesus told them sabbath was made for man. This is when they began to distrust Jesus.
Legion
A man inhabited by an unclean spirit, Legion, in the territory of Gerasenes. He was chained up and unable to be subdued. They begged Jesus to drive them out and let them inhabit swine and he did just that. It was proclaimed by the man that the Lord had shown him pity and many were amazed.
Jairus
A synagogue official who fell at Jesus' feet upon seeing him. He asked that Jesus heal his daughter who was on the brink of death. He had faith in Jesus and his ability to heal which is why he fell at his feet.
King Herod
Arrested John and thrown into prison on account of Herodias, his brothers wife. Herod feared John and the fact that others were calling him a prophet like no other. The woman wanted John's head on a platter.
Myself
At this point maybe if I had doubted in the beginning I no longer do after seeing all the good and miracles performed by Jesus and hearing stories of the things he is doing for others. I think what Jesus has done for Levi is amazing, because he's a man who is not well liked, definitely not someone you would think the Son of God would go to, and yet there he is. I think Simon and Andrew are true disciples because in the beginning they are so willing to just go along with Jesus and stop their lives to bear witness to what he is doing. That shows tremendous faith and loyalty initially.
