Motion tweens vs Classic tweens
Motion interpolation
An animation type that uses symbols to create movement, size, and rotation changes, fades, and color effects.
Use keyframes.
It consists of a target object in the entire tween.
Offers better interpolation control.
It does not use frame scripts.
Provides maximum control over tweened animation
Applies a color effect by tweening.
Powerful and easy to create
Animate 3D objects.
Does not convert text objects to movie clips.
Can be saved as motion presets.
Use text as an interpolated type
Classic interpolation
Refers to interpolation in Flash CS3 and earlier versions, and is kept in Animate primarily for transition purposes.
Applies facilities to the groups of frames between the keyframes within the tween.
Apply two different color effects, such as tint and alpha transparency.
It consists of groups of individually selectable frames on the timeline.
Cannot animate 3D objects.
Use framework scripts.
Converts text objects to graphic symbols.
It cannot be saved as motion presets.
Tweens between two keyframes with the same or different symbols.
Use property frames.
Provides specific capabilities for the user.
Includes all tweens created in earlier versions of Animate.
Swaps symbols or sets the frame number of a graphic symbol to display on a property keyframe.
