Energy
Some of the issues that are created by the UK’s energy mix are that there is an increase in gas usage and demand, meaning that we can become reliant on the imports of gas from other countries (bad impact on the environment)
There has been a slow increase in renewable energy which is positive for the environment, creates jobs and it means that the energy will not run out.
-
There has been an increase in nuclear energy which is bad for the environment as it sometimes emits radioactive waste

Natural gas is a non renewable energy that is 80% of the UK’s heating needs and 30% of its electricity generation
As the use of gas has increased, the use of oil has decreased by 6% each decade

Food
The UKs demand for food is increasing because there is a bigger population, more celebrity chefs using more exotic ingredients and it is also because we can’t grow fruit all year round.

Water
Some countries have a water surplus due to higher rainfall, less populated areas. Other areas may have more water/ energy/ food because of governments, some countries are landlocked. If you are landlocked it means that you are a country surrounded entirely by land and it can be hard to import and export. Corrupt governments means that they keep the resources for themselves.
