Electro magnets are made with electricity to last for a certain amount of time while Permanent magnets are found in nature.

Do not keep magnets near electronics
Keep bar magnets arranged properly with poles connected
Do not throw, heat, or hammer on a magnet otherwise it will lose its magneticity.
History of Magnets
Magnets are said to be discovered by a shepherd named Magnes of ancient Greece
It is said that the iron nails in his shoe stuck to a magnetic rock later named magnetite
