What is it?
Rare genetic condition that affects about 1 in 30,000 people

Will cause build up of copper on the liver, brain, eyes and other organs.

Diagnosis

Slit Lamp, a special light is used to look for Kayser-Fleischer rings in a persons eyes- if rings are present almost all people with Wilson's who show neurological damage- does not affect a person vision

Symptoms

People may also experience, anemia, low white blood cells or clotting issues, high levels of protein, amino acids and uric acid in the urin and early arthritis or bone loss
Treatment

Excessive copper needs to be removed, reduced intake of foods with high levels of copper and treating liver or central nervous system damage
