Relates to who sets the ethical boundaries in methodology (if the investigation is being carried out to help a group of living organisms, who decides which one is "more important"). Methodology can be ethical, however, the application of knowledge can be harmful (for instance: knowledge used to build atomic bombs)

Art
Why the arts
Through this AOK, knowledge producers are able to communicate personal opinions and emotions. This rises the question: Should there be ethical limitations for expression through arts?
-
Argument #2
Ethical boundaries constrain the production of knowledge within the arts. Limiting the opinion of a given expert
Example
Knight of despair exhibition - exhibition in which dead animals were placed in human like positions to raise awareness of animal abuse
Methodology of transmitting the message (awareness of animal abuse) is not ethical however if ethical boundaries were placed, the opinion and message of the expert would have been restricted
-
Essay conclusion
Ethical boundaries are set by experts during the methodology and by the public during the application of knowledge claims
The absence of ethical limitations in any of the two areas lead to ethical dilemmas within the knowers and experts
Art general conclusion
Ethical constraints should be placed in the methodology of the arts since no unethical method can be justified by the message wanting to be communicated
