Limiting and Excess
Restricted reactants limit the amount of products that can be produced in chemical reactions. The excess reactant is the reactant remaining at the end of the reaction.
-
Theoretical yield is the maximum amount of product that can be produced assuming that all limiting reactants reacted.
-
Theoretical and actual yields can be used to determine the yield of a chemical reaction using the following equation.
-
Avogadro's law states that the same amount of gas at the same temperature and pressure contains the same number of particles.
