Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy (broken heart syndrome) is one of our guesses because the patient had a lot of chest pain. The patient fits the description of takotsubo cardiomyopathy because he had initial chest pain that wasn't subsiding, shortness of breath, and recent loss of a child, then with some lab tests we see ST elevation. I would like to get a closer picture of the left ventricular part of the heart to see if we can detect apical ballooning. That would really crack the case.
