        Allah refutes the criticism
        
        All food was lawful for the Bani Israil except that which Isra'il i.e. Ya'qoob a.s. forbade for himself (such as camel meat, which he did because of a vow he had taken) before the Torah was revealed.
        
        This prohibition therefore could not have applied to Ibrahim a.s. because he lived long before Ya'qoob a.s.
        
        Bring the Torah and read to us if you are truthful
      - v96. Muslims have adopted the Ka‘bah as their direction to face while praying instead of Jerusalem.
        
        Allah refutes the criticism
        
        Ka‘bah is the oldest place of worship, later rebuilt by Ibrahim a.s.
        
        Facing it when praying is another proof that the Muslims are the followers of Ibrahim a.s.
      - v180-181. miserly Jews would mock the believers for Allah's orders for spending in His way
      - v183: falsely made up a demand for miracle saying it was the criteria in our scriptures to accept anyone's claim to prophethood
  - - - v61: Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves, then pray and invoke the curse of Allah upon the liars.
        
        This is the last resort for a conclusive end to argumentation in matters of faith. When this suggestion was put before the leader of the delegation of Najran, the Holy Prophet ﷺ came out with his family members, but the Najran delegation was not prepared to participate in it. Instead, they opted to have a political compromise with him

        Seeing the reminder of Allah's power, Zakariyya a.s. supplicated for a pious offspring right there and then
        
        received glad tidings of Yahya a.s.
        
        Reminder that Allah can do anything

        رَبَّنَا لَا تُزِغۡ قُلُوۡبَنَا بَعۡدَ اِذۡ هَدَيۡتَنَا وَهَبۡ لَنَا مِنۡ لَّدُنۡكَ رَحۡمَةً ‌ ۚ اِنَّكَ اَنۡتَ الۡوَهَّابُ ‏﴿۸﴾ رَبَّنَاۤ اِنَّكَ جَامِعُ النَّاسِ لِيَوۡمٍ لَّا رَيۡبَ فِيۡهِ‌ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يُخۡلِفُ الۡمِيۡعَادَ‏﴿۹﴾
        
        We believe in them even if our intellect falls short of understanding them. All of it is from our Lord.
