Clinical Presentation

Generalized aching, weight loss, depression, and fatigue
Early onset begins in the MIC and PIP joints of the fingers, thumbs, wrists, and toes
Pain, swelling of many joints, and morning stiffness that lasts more than an hour
Later affects the shoulders, elbows, ankles, and knees
Other features include anemia, rheumatoid nodules, neuropathy, scleritis, vasculitis, splenomegaly

Administration
Given as a shot into the fatty part of the skin on top of the thigh or the belly area; wash hands before and after
Missed dose
Take as soon as you remember, do not take 2 doses at same time/extra doses
Storage and Disposal
Store in a refrigerator and do not freeze. Store in the original container to protect from light. Check with your pharmacist about disposal for drug take-back programs.
