Simple Multiplication ADDIE Model
Analyze
This project targets students in elementary school (2nd grade) that are beginning to start learning basic math skills (multiplication)
This model is meant for teachers that are beginning a lesson of multiplication to a new class
Students will need multiplication sheets, calculators, a pencil, and paper
Development
Before the first week test have students take a practice test to see where the class stands.
After each weeks quiz progressively make quiz's harder (different numbers, larger, smaller)
Teachers can track students development by grades on assignments and weekly quiz's
Implementation
Engage the students with fun lesson plans and simple equations throughout the week
As learning through out the week progresses create different multiplication scenarios and use different learning styles
One day students can pair up and go through the multiplication problems together
Another day students can multiple fishes that are on the board together
Assign homework with simple multiplication problems for students to engage with
The day that the home work is due go over the assignment with the class and answer any questions
Evaluation
After the 4th week look at the students quiz scores average
If the quiz scores are below 80% take the fifth week to go over material that the students could have missed
Then take the final quiz on the 5th week and average out the students scores
If the scores are above 80% congratulate the class and move onto the next chapter
Design
Learning Objective- After a 4-5 week lesson plan of advancing difficulty students will be able to pass the weekly multiplication quiz with an average of 80%
Strategies- After weekly quizes take notes of students who got below 50%.
Possibly create groups of students who are struggling with multiplication for extra help
