relevance to current human timeline - is it pressing, useful information that is in demand?

project purpose or reason it must be done

Abstract

first sentence = topic sentence

last sentence = importance of project/ findings

succinct summary of background, aim, need statement, RD, and implications - this is where you let the reader know your overall -objective-

follow each bold heading with a short descrip of intention / expected outcomes

list form with bold heading

use a step-by-step format

use your key terms

connect this with specific aims to have a realizing effect on the reader in reference to field/topic

includes - context, unknown, hypothesis/aim, summary

current state of industry/knowledge/topic

have an approach for each specific aim - think of as a detailed action plan

include expectations of approaches - outcomes, potential alternatives or substitute methods, implications

approach to the issue/topic

broad implications - relate to the bigger picture

statement of need - problem / issue / unanswered question - "why does this NEED to be done"

Budget - realistic, rational
