In this approach, originated in Canada, learners acquire the new language through instructions given by the teachers in the second language.In the institution where I work we follow this Canadian method, the instructions for the activities are written in English and the teacher also explains everything in this second language, the content taught this way comes from other subjects other than English as well, such as science, mathematics and robotics. This concept is relevant in my teaching environment because my students's natural setting does not provide enough English input, in school we create this necessity for them to understand and use the L2.
