USA (FDA
Any Food Products
1. Facilities / Importers needs to be registered with FDA
To be registered and be recorded to the list of facilities in FDA database.
2. Prior Notice of Incoming Shipments
To target import inspections more effectively and help protect that nation's food supply against terrorist acts and other public health emergencies
3. Imported food products are subjected to FDA inspection when offered for import at U.S. port of entry
May detain shipments of products offered for import if the shipments are found not to be in compliance with U.S. requirements
Regulatory Action Guidance for substances in Rice-based products
Aflatoxin:
not more than 20 mcg or ppb
May be subject to import refusal, if criteria for submitting a recommendation for seizure is met
Inorganic Arsenic:
100 mcg/kg or 100 ppb
May help protect public health by reducing infants dietary exposure to inorganic arsenic and is achievable with the use of current good manufacturing practices.
