how data is stored
all info on a computer is stored as a binary info
each 0 or a 1 is called a bit
when your bits are grouped up they become a nibble eg 1011
a terabyte is 1024 gigabyt
binary numbers only have digits 0 and 1
the computer do calcuations and can display all the info using a series of 0 and 1
a byte contaions 8 bits
most computers work in multiples of a byte
kilobye
is a unit of storage capisity
it is 1024 bytes
can decide what colour each pixel on screen and therefore makes images
mega byte
it is 1,048,576
a cd can store up to 650 mb
gigabyte
is written as gb
it is 1,024 mb
