SYNTHETIC GLUE

soaks into fibres of the wood
^^cards and papers encourages them to interlock as water evaporates
very strong for fibrous porous materials
clear and colourless once cured -must wipe off excess glue before it dries to prevent glue stain.

CONTACT ADHESIVE

both material surfaces are coated and become touch dry
adhesion works as soon as two dry surfaces meet
-solvent fumes are really dangerous and good ventilation is imperative.

EPOXY RESIN

comes in two tubes: resin and hardener
needs to be mixed in 50/50 parts
there are different drying times depending on size of material being glued.
fills gaps and joins variety of materials
--> steel to glass, plywood to acrylic.
