The Balance of Nature
Which techniques do artists use to express how they feel about our planet earth?
Miranda Lloyed: From Australian countryside to ocean, there is a lot of nature to be explored and inspired by. Miranda Lloyd uses high textures and as of her choice of matter, i it insatiately, randomly from her mind.
Andrew Copper: An outstanding designer and draftsman. Andrew Copper gets his inspiration from the nature as he says, it is of big importance to him. He creates his own particular nature, the way he wants, using colors, patterns, etc...
Artists in general: Nature can be represented in art in a variety of ways, from photorealism to abstraction. By attempting to visually copy items as they appear in real life, art can imitate nature.
Which artworks would you choose to represent the balance of nature?
I have chosen two artists which create a realistic and an unrealistic extent of nature. They represent nature in two different ways.
Miranda Lloyd represents nature in a more realistic way. She creates different animals and landscapes. Her very unique way in her paintings is her background, as she uses a textured background using vibrant colors and contrasting with the element of nature she has chosen.
Andrew Cooper, however, represents nature in an unrealistic way. He created his own signature piece to represent his work, using a personified flower. The background he uses is varied as some are patterns or plain backgrounds. He also paints grass and other varied plants.
What connects you to the natural elements?
many elements and principles were shown in our art classes. These elements and principles show the techniques in arts, but they also relate to the beauty of nature. Some are:
Volume
Form
Space
Shape
Line
Color
Time
Motion
Balance
Scale
Proportion
Emphasis
Patterns
Do the arts have a role in portraying the balance of nature?
Nature can be represented in many different formants when it comes to art. It may create a feeling of depth or perspective. Nature can be recreated or used to represent deeper ideas.
