People in higher level of authority have the power over those below - they delegate tasks for them

Everything is checked to ensure the reputation of the business isn't at risk

Those higher in the hierarchy have more responsibility than those lower down

Every document is checked before it is released

Someone higher in the hierarchy of the business will check for mistakes

Reduces the risk of fraud and any other actions that could negatively effect the business

There must be manual and electronic protection against anyone that tries to steal information

The company can be sued or imprisoned if confidential information is leaked or released

All personal information must be kept confidential - it is a legal requirement

Data protection act

Devices in the work place are supposed to be used for suitable activities of work not for personal enjoyment such as social media or games

If caught misusing a device in the work place you can be fired or suspended

Misuse of a device in the workplace reduces productivity which decreases the profit the business will make

It is also important that the only people that can use the computers in the workplace are those that have the permission to do so

Businesses must have any required licenses for that area in order to practice it and start a business in it

If there are any laws about the work that the business do they must be followed otherwise they can be arrested, fined or shutdown by the government
