Discuss: How we need to eat. The importance of a diet. I will show the food pyramid and what we eat most and least from the food groups on the pyramid
Activity: Cut out magazine pictures to categorize healthy and non healthy foods. Learners make a pyramid collage
Where different foods come from: fruits, vegetables, dairy and meat

Discuss beef from cows, pork from pigs,mutton from sheep

Activity: Learners use resources magazines, newspapers, scissor and glue to paste what each category can produce to eat
Storing Food
Discussion: On the importance of fresh, tinned, dried, frozen foods
Discuss what will happen to certain foods if not stored correctly. Use examples of foods learners know
Activity: I will put learners into groups, I will bring different food item whereby learners will use their senses to describe the food by their looks, feel, taste and smell
Foods we eat
Discussion: likes and dislikes of food. Cultural aspects for eating foods. Health aspects. Discuss what students eat for breakfast, lunch and supper
Activity: Draw using art supplies favorite food, also name the food
