You're not famous while still alive, but in the future, your texts are considered american classics.

        You help with the war injured. You get to see a lot, and feel a little traumatize, but Beth calms you with playing the piano while you sit next to the fireplace. Mrs March puts a comforting blanket over your shoulders. The next day, you come back to the hospital.

        Both Beth and you get the scarlet fever. She dies first, and the fear that this causes you make you get worse. In your last sleep, you only dream of being next to Beth while she plays the piano. She was, after all, your best friend.
