Social media gives us an expectation that we need to fit into social norms. Which degrades our self esteem
Main aspect: body image look. -How influencers show "ideal Body"
How to act: Observation
-see others portray travel, partying
Misc.: -Seeing people in the media express how they live their lives and never mention the trouble they face as well.
-This project can teach everyone else about how important it is to be aware of your mindset regarding what we are exposed to on social media.
-Having this negative mindset creates more negative thoughts for other experiences you have in life.
Follow social norm:
-It is what society puts on us as young humans to feel like you have to fit in
This can be incorporated into my main argument in color pink
-People grow and change and that is such an important part to growing up so by only thinking one thing and trying to fit one expectation does not give you the chance to grow your mindset.
Fixed Mindset:
Never be good enough when comparing to others
feel this way if you do not have a specific lifestyle as someone else.
not allowing room for growth in how you see yourself
this causes other thoughts to become more negative
Can lead to eating disorders
Being hard on yourself about the way you look can create eating disorder
Following mentality
Teens are obersavation learners
young ages are the prime years to becoming who you are in life and this is the time to try things and determine how you feel about them
the social norm rather than fitting in.
