Antibiotic Sensitivity Test, Methods - Coggle Diagram

- - - - Before inoculating the plate, prepare a turbid broth culture of bacteria and a pack of sterile cotton swabs, as well as a flame to apply aseptic method.
      - Take the sterile cotton swab from its package, dip it into the test tube, and push the cotton swab into it to remove excess broth.
      - Before sealing the test tube, burn the upper portion of the tube.
        
        Cover the whole surface with a cotton swab that we dipped in the bacteria we collected earlier. Cover as much as possible of the wedge.
        
        spin the plate and repeat steps 5 .
        
        Then, using the same swab, cover the plate's outside edge.
    - - Prepare the sterile filter paper disc, forceps, and chemicals needed for the test.
      - Use 95 percent ethanol to sterilise the forceps.
      - Dip the forceps into the ethanol, extract them, and transfer them directly to the flame to easily catch fire.
      - After that, set the forceps aside for a bit.
      - Take one sterile filter paper disc and dip it halfway into chemical A. and let it soak up onto the paper.
        
        Place the disc in the centre of one of the triangles, beginning with A and repeating the process with the same second chemical. A
        
        Repeat step 5 on the other two chemicals, B and C.
        
        After that, incubate the plate for 24 hours at 37 degrees Celsius.
      - Interpreting the result :
        
        Chemical C - will display antibacterial properties as well as zone inhibition.
        
        Chemical B- reveals that it has no antibacterial activity and inhibits zone formation
        
        Chemical A has little antibacterial activity and little zone inhibition
