It still uses the original text, though represents a different type of view to the reader. In the poem Circe, the transformation is connected to the other poem Penelope, since they both operate in the same timeline, just different eras.

The meaning of the text can be interpreted in many different ways ,but the text shows Circe as a dominant goddess, she acts like how men would act towards women.
The author wants the reader to experience Circe's POV and give us a better perspective of straying away from the feminine perspective.

The poem Penelope happens later in the list of poems and talks about penelope's perspective on her husband. Because he had left for war, she had found a new passion, which she intend not to put down. She does not want to stick to her old life style of just loving her husband, she wants to continue her new life style of sewing.
Which gives us the perspective of knowing what happens to Penelope after waiting many years for her husband return.

The author wants us to see the relationship and coming of age of the original character of the story and view the perspectives of why she thinks this is important for everyone to know and understand.

The readers see the perspective of Mrs. Sisyphus who shows aggression towards her husband Sisyphus for working for so long. But the reader also knows that there is a second side to the story which no one would particularly see in an ordinary day to day life.
The author wants us to know the two sides of the perspective, though Mrs. Sisyphus is angry at her husband, she still feels lonely on the inside, which in everyday life, no one would openly voice, which is why the two perspectives clash a little when the readers read it.
