During the years of 1922 and 1932, Austria requested economic support needed for repairs and lost wealth caused by WWI. This would affect the League of Nation's economy, since the LoN would have to use at least some of their money to aid Austria. This would not mean a big problem at that time, however, it would heavily impact the League of Nations in the coming years.
It is, without a doubt, that the Great Depression heavily affected most of the countries during in the globe. This would present a huge problem and a potential economical threat to the League of Nations, as the countries forming part of it were experiencing bankruptcy and serious economical problems, severely weakening the League's power. There is most certainly no need to add the fact that the economical aid the league sent to other countries such as Austria in the past years wouldn't be of any help during this period.
The League's economical crises that they experienced from the past were without a doubt one of the main reasons that led to their abolishment in the end, as most of the powerful countries that were part of the League of Nations had already left, leaving the league with the weaker ones, less wealthier ones. The League of Nations would be replaced by the United Nations (UN)
The rise to power of Hitler was an event of great impact to the league of nations, because one of his first decisions at the moment he took over Hitler "removed" Germany from the league of nations, the income inside the L.O.N. where very low, because even thoug thanks to the Treaty of Versailles Germany had los a lot of both economic a military power it was still one of the biggest main nations.
