Other factors that influence Capacitance:
- Capacitance is directly proportional to the area of the plates
- Capacitance is inversely proportional to the spacing between plates
- Type of dielectric material also changes the capacitance

Charging

A capacitor charges when put in series with a power supply (i.e. battery, PSU, etc.)

A capacitor discharges when put in series with another output device (i.e. LED, buzzer, etc.)
