Neutral Positions
Forearm
Goal: Forearm parallel to floor
Avoid: Angle between forearm and upper arm of < 60 degrees
Upper Arm
Goal: Elbows at waist level held slightly away from body
Avoid: Elbows held above waist level
Shoulders
Goal: Shoulders even
Avoid: Crunching shoulders up toward ears
Back
Goal: Lean forward slightly from waist or hips
Avoid: Curved back
Torso
Goal: Torso in line with long axis
Avoid: Leaning or twisting torso
Neck
Goal: head tilt of 0-15 degrees
Avoid: Tipping head too far forward, tilting head to one side
Wrist
Goal: Little finger-side of palm slightly lower than the thumb-side of palm
Avoid: Palm parallel to floor
