Decrease function, full functioning is limited and may return in three to six weeks after injury.

Sprain
Is an injury to the ligamentous structure around a joint usually caused by wrenching and twisting motion. Usually occurs in the ankle, the wrist and the knee. [Damien Z & Mart W 2015]
Classification

Moderate sprain- is the partial disruption of the involved tissues with more swelling and tenderness.
Severe sprain- refers to the complete tearing of the ligaments associated with moderate or severe swelling. [ Damien Z & Mart W 2015 ]
Strain
Refers to the stretching of a muscle its fascial sheath or its tendon. Strains usually occurs in large muscle groups such as lower back, the calf and the hamstrings. [ Damein Z & Mart W 2015]
