Personal Project Planning
What material would I use for my handle?
I could research online and see what materials are used and order necessary materials for my lightsaber hilt.
I could look in koctas and see what materials I can find there for my lightsaber. Koctas have many various materials that I could use for my lightsaber build
How can I start researching my product?
Check reliable websites for any help and if they have certain types of materials needed and further information
Check what tools you will need to be using through youtube reaserch.
Watch youtube videos about saber smithing; creating lightsabers and their materials that will be needed.
How will I provide a step-by-step procedure/evidence of making my lightsaber?
I will be taking notes of what I did to get closer to my final goal of creating a light saber. Keep a brief notebook of who I have talked to; like supervisor, expert etc.
I will make a video though out the process and every step I take in making my lightsaber.
How would my video provide good evidence of the work I did?
The video shows a good record of the process of creation of the lightsaber handle showing how I worked on my lightsaber proving I build it.
Video tells what challenges I went through in order to achieve the lightsaber I build.
Where and how will I find an expert that will help me with my product.
See which companies produce lightsabers in Turkey for information on who might be in charge.
Look for saber Smithers that are interested in helping out find them using different social medias and websites to buy custom lightsabers.
Are the necessary tools I will need to be familiar with to build my lightsaber?
Skills required: Investigation
Possible outcome: some of the solutions to this provlem would be asking my supervisors if he knew how these instruments were used. I could also get help from my father since he good engineering knowledge and has many friends I could ask for any engineering help.
How would I tell if my lightsaber is realistic?
Weight: Feels good when holding in the user's hand feels comfortable and real, not too light or too heavy.
Hilt/Handle: I will be using materials like metal instead of plastic making the hilt seem realistic when grabbing it also adding details to it like small pins, screws, etc. Not having it look like a pipe glued and look like a proper lightsaber prop that could be used in a Star Wars movie.
I could add scathes to my lightsaber to give it a feeling it was through many battles not having it too bright and making it feel a little rusty.
