Vectors are written in a vertical arrangement in which x is above and y is below:

In rotation, the image is the preimage rotated around a fixed point; "a turn".
Basic Rules
90° Clockwise or 270° Anticlockwise --> (y,-x)
180° Clockwise or Anticlockwise --> (-x,-y)
270° Clockwise or 90° Anticlockwise --> (-y,-x)

In enlargement, the image is a larger or smaller version of the preimage; "shrinking" or "enlarging."
To enlarge a shape, a centre of enlargement is required. When a shape is enlarged from a centre of enlargement, the distances from the centre to each point are multiplied by the scale factor
