Synecdoche
Synecdoche is a form of metonymy, but instead of “a part for a part,” the writer substitutes “a part for a whole.” In other words, they represent an object with only a distinct part of the object.

similes also compare two different things to point out their similarities, use the words "as" or "like".

onomatopoeia: using a word formed through a sound (buzz, ugh, tik-tok)
consonance
consonance identified by the repetition of identical or similar consonants in neighbouring words whose vowel sounds are different (e.g. coming home, hot foot).
euphemism
a soft and inoffensive word or phrase that replaces a harsh, unpleasant, or hurtful one for the sake of sympathy or civility.
Pun
Pun is a type of comedic wordplay that involve homophones (different words that are pronounced the same) or two separate meanings of the same word.
paradox
a paradox combines two contradictory ideas in a way that, although illogical, still seems to make sense.

Metonymy
A metonymy is when the writer replaces “a part for a part,” choosing one noun to describe a different noun.
Climax
The conflict is faced during the main, most dramatic event of the story.
